• Mr. Cy West (Board Chair) a talented, accomplished professional with impressive economic development, business and leadership experience. Also, he has been involved in the ownership and management of commercial real estate for over 30 years, primarily in the hotel and multi-family apartment sectors. In this timeframe, Mr. West has owned and/or managed over 11,000 apartment units and hotel rooms in the Eastern US. He is a Florida licensed mortgage broker and has been involved with the Biscayne Atlantic principal group for over twenty years.

• Pablo Lago (Vice Chair) founder and Pastor for the past twenty years of “Comunidad Cristiana La Roca Firme church” with a current membership of over six hundred people. In, addition, Pastor Lago was President of the Association of Pastors and Ministers of Greater Miami, working as such from 2002 until 2007, currently serves on the Board of Directors of the same.

• Tina Kapp, (Board Member) She went to University of Pennsylvania Wharton undergraduate school and sub matriculated into Wharton grad. She is very talented, and has accomplished extraordinary business and leadership experience. Mrs.Tina Kapp is very bright, has run her own successful businesses both here in Florida and in Philadelphia


• Mayor -Yioset De La Cruz (Board Member) of the City of Hialeah Gardens Mayor De La Cruz attended Miami-Dade Community College and graduated with an Associate in Arts Degree in Public Speaking and Pre-Law. In addition, he attended Florida International University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration and graduated on May 16, 2004 from the University of Miami Law School receiving his Jurist Doctorate. 1996, he was employed with the City of Sweetwater as Parks Director and in 1998 as Senior Center Director. He was formerly the assistant to Mayor Raul Martinez at the City of Hialeah in 1999. In July 18, 2000, he was elected as one of the youngest Mayors in the State of Florida for the City of Hialeah Gardens, and currently he is the youngest Mayor of Miami-Dade County. Mayor De La Cruz is currently serving as Chairman of the Intergovernmental Legislative Policy Committee with the Florida League of Cities. He is also a member of the Advocacy Committee, the International Relations Committee, the Federal Action Strike Team (F.A.S.T.) and a voting delegate for the Florida League of Cities

• Samuel Robinson (Board Member) is currently Core Team Advisory Council Member Helping Syntek plan their sales growth, selling products and marketing kits, and planning promotions and rewards. Moreover, he supports the Goodwill’s technology needs in 35 locations, provided staff with employee training, software and hardware. He has completed education on MCP, MCSE, Network Plus, A Plus, SQL, and Exchange.

• Jaime Peñaranda (Board Member) is Certified General Contractor (CGC # 1513713) in the state of Florida. He offers more than eighteen years of experience in supervision and administration of civil construction including residential and commercial buildings.

• Hermes G Leon (Board Member) is a knowledgeable, accomplished professional with impressive academic development and leadership experience. Also, Mr. Leon is a Florida licensed Home Inspector who is familiar with building codes and ordinances in all areas of a home. In addition, Mr. Leon teaches at Florida Training School. To add has been helping many new buyers before they make the right decision when buying a property.

• Evelyn Alfonso (Board Member) has experience in develop and implement strategic marketing planning for business, Serve current and prospective clients in all aspects of marketing, from customer service issues, to re-evaluating procedures, to develop new business opportunities, and address Center operational issues.

• Joshua Numa (Board Member) has a Bachelor of Science on management and a minor of marketing from Florida International University. What is more, he has directed and managed over 50 school events, over $50,000 budget managed, changed marketing vision for events and infiltration of college market, Bridged understanding of students towards administration objectives and financial increase represented FIU, Pepsi, and Miami Dolphins Also, he has volunteered over 500 hours of service in communities for business purposes.
